The wound was really stinky this morning so I'm doing the special formula wound flushings again. Early this morning it was fine. He felt warm when I picked him up awhile ago but later on his ears were cool. I think I caught it right at the start so he won't develop a fever. I'm so glad the vet gave me that formula to use when he needs it.
Here are a couple of pics of him but he is not too happy after his wound cleaning.

Well darn it. I'm glad that you caught it early and have the special forumla that vet gave you to use. I'm with Chris he just doesn't deserve this at all.
He doesn't look too happy, but he sure looks cute in his shirt.

He's gone quite awhile up until now without me having to do anything to his wound. He is a good patient to look after.
It's been draining for quite awhile and only started to stink today so we've had a bit of a break.

LOL, he sure don't look happy. I have to agree, he sure don't deserve this mess. We have to make the best of it tho..... Will you get some more of that special formula from his vet when you run out?? Gosh......please give him a kiss from me n the furpack!!!

Misha jumped up on the bed beside me at 4:00 am this morning and was licking his shirt. It was wet where it was draining so I changed his shirt and he went back to bed.
My kisses for him from everyone are in a box and I will give them all to him when my coldsore is better. I'm not much for kissing now with the scab on there. LOL

Misha spent the night sleeping on the couch and out of the closet and wasn't even hiding under his blanket tent. I think he is feeling better and he ate well this morning. I suspect the antibiotic is working as there is no foul odour now.
