He hasn't been seen for awhile and that incision still has a small hole not healing.  I noticed yesterday that his left leg was bothering him and he couldn't get positioned right a few times so I think maybe he needs some pain meds.  I also want to talk to Dr B about getting the account with the vaccination company transferred to a new vet and I have one picked out.  I want to know from her what I need to do to get the ball rolling.  She said she was going to get it organized when I was ready.

Tomorrow he will be wearing his purple shirt with the butterfly for the girls at the clinic.

I wonder what is going on with his little leg? I'm sure Dr B will figure it out and get him fixed up. That's nice that she is getting all his paper work in order and ready to send to his new vet. I bet the girls in the office will make over him in his new purple shirt with the butterfly on it. He's going to look adorable in it. Kisses to Misha.

Update on Misha's vet visit:

We went over to the vet clinic at 10:40 this morning and Dr Brenda was ready for us when we got there.

She checked out his tumour and said that it was right over the left shoulder and his difficulty to move sometimes was more mechanical than him having pain.  I told her he goes to sleep right after so we agreed that he couldn't be in pain if he was going to sleep.  She said to use the Metacam anytime I thought he was having pain.  She gave me two more syringes of the Special Formula one to use now and one to have on hand if I'm in between vets.  She said the formula might stop some of his itching.  She said he looked really good and was happy that he is eating and drinking well.

She loved him in his purple sweater with the butterfly and so did the vet tech.  He managed to scratch right after I got him dressed to go to the vet and got some blood on it so it is in the wash right now.  She said we will have to find him a red one for Christmas which I'm looking for.  It's harder to find the newborn size.

She will organize all his reports for me to take and will call the new vet and give him a report over the phone before we leave.  She called the Guelph Veterinary College and asked if there is anything new on treating with radiotherapy and they said with cats because they have such a small frame it doesn't work as good as it does on people.  When radiating the tumour it destroys the good tissue underneath.  So we will be keeping him comfortable and loving him and enjoying him for as long as we can.

Got to go do his special formula flushing now.

Thanks everyone for your prayers for him.

Chris:  I'll miss all the preferential treatment Dr Brenda has given Misha and I.  The girls are so wonderful there too but I'm sure they will be nice in the new place.  I printed a page of the website of the new place with bios of all the vets who attended the Guelph University and she said 3 of them trained the same year she did and they have lots of years and knowledge.  There is one new vet from the east coast.  So I have 4 to pick from.

I'm so glad that Dr Brenda doesn't think that Misha is in any pain. That's good that she gave you an extra syringe of his special formula to use just in case. Gosh you're really going to miss her getting such good treatment. I bet he looked adorable in his little shirt. I'm sure that you can fine a red one for Christmas. That's too bad that cats don't do well with radiotherapy. I guess all you can is love him and keep him comfortable then. I keep praying that it will be that he will be with you many years for. Kisses to that sweet boy.

Leslie:  I was glad that she confirmed that Misha wasn't having pain and that it was just mechanical.  I am really going to miss them as Dr Brenda has been so good to us.  When I call I get an appointment same day or the next day.

I'm glad she gave me extra special formula to have on hand.

I hope I can find a red shirt for Christmas for him.  Thanks for your prayers for him.  I'll pass on your kisses to him as he loves them.
