While cruisin on facebook last nite i found this story... she is such a pretty kitty.....

Sara is a precious Ragdoll Siamese with a true love of life and here to show the skeptics of the world that even the unwanted and sight challenged have a place in our world ... please join us on our journey !
Description
As I sit here tapping away at the keyboard Sara (aka Lil Meemaw, Mee to the Maw, Trouble or just plain ol' MEE) 'watches' intently. Always curious and forever underfoot, Sara has become my shadow & constant companion.

The reality of a special needs kitten came on the morning of June 14th, after we had lost 3 of our elderly cats in a matter of months. After vowing that I 'had enough of the heartbreak of losing yet another animal' & vowing to never again put our family thru it , I grabbed a cup of coffee and scrolled thru this wonderful Book of Faces. There she was ... a face that only a mother could love !!!

S/nipped www.facebook.com/snipped posted a picture of 'Daphine' a tiny, feral Siamese kitten, fresh out of surgery and what I can only describe as the most heart stopping, gasp for air thing I had ever seen. My first thoughts were "Who could have done something so horrendous to this poor lil baby?' as I gathered my courage to scroll back up, I saw that there was another photo ~ 'pre-op' that was worse than the one before.

After reading the snippets of info, I took the phone into hubby and said 'We have to help this kitten, I NEED her & she needs us !!!' He shook his head and told me I was crazy 'How in the world will we ever take care of a cat with no eyes ???' It really didn't matter WHAT he said. I knew she would be mine !!!

Her life started out in the small community of Lakeside, Or. as an unwanted and only survivor of a litter of kittens. She was taken in by another Vicki and turned over to S/Nipped when her illness became to severe for her to treat at home. The Feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR), an upper respiratory or pulmonary infection had wreaked havoc on her eyes and after a thorough exam, it was decided that she was otherwise healthy but that the virus ulcerated them, causing her to require enucleations (removal).

After leaving many comments and watching the video of her playing post-op I received a call on the evening of the 15th and was asked if I would like to come down and fill out an adoption application !!! I was thrilled =] The first time she crawled onto my shoulder and nuzzled into my hair, we all knew she belonged to me !!!

The rest as they say is 'her'story, Sara's story ... so far ~

What a beautiful story and what a brave kitty.

She needed the lady as much as she needed her.
