Update on Daisy...not good news

She was such a good girl for Dr Mary. I told Dr Mary about Daisy having some tummy troubles lately and she felt her abdomen and felt a lump. She took her back to x-ray and found a tumor on her spleen.
It's about the size of a softball and pushing her stomach and intestines to one side of her body so that's why she has been having tummy troubles. Dr Mary said it's a 50/50 chance it's not cancer. If it is she won't last but a couple of months. She is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday. If it's not cancer then DR Mary will remove her spleen and the tumor. She took blood from Daisy just to make sure nothing else is going on and to blood type it as these things bleed really bad. She tried to get blood from her neck and couldn't find the vein, so she got it from her leg. Daisy was so good and sat still like such a good girl.
I'm going to ask for your prayers for Daisy. That damned tumor just has to be non cancerous.

No we don't need any more pet losses. I pray that it will be non cancerous and she will pull through. Yes she found it on x-ray. She took 2 and didn't really see anything on her liver, but she couldn't see her liver too well because of the tumor. It is good because that means it didn't spread, so I'm praying this is a good sign that it's non cancerous.
I just can't believe that this is happening to my sweet girl.
Thanks for your many prayers ((((Jane)))). Daisy is going to need them. No she doesn't seem to be in pain and is eating pretty well, so it was certainly something that I wasn't expecting.

OMG ((((Sindee)))) I had forgotten that ^Spark^ had the same thing. My heart is hurting too. This is news that no furparent wants to hear.
I will have to decide what to do on Tuesday when Dr Mary does the surgery if it's not good.

OMG I'm praying that it isn't cancer for that sweet girl. She didn't seem to be that sick for having a tumour the size of a softball. These animals sure can hide things. I'll be praying hard for her.
