Update on my Misha

We got back from the vet about half an hour ago and everything went well.  She was so good for the vet.  Anyway, the callus on her paw pad is just that.  Apparently, it's made of the same tissue that fingernails are made of.  She clipped some of it away and said that I could do the same when needed.  Misha got a good check up, and was pronounced a healthy girl.  The vet also checked out her leg, the one that causes her to limp and said it was arthritis and I am to continue giving her the cosequin and Nutri Aid.  We talked about giving Misha metacam but she would prefer not to give it to her unless her arthritis gets worse.  But so far, with the cosequin and Nutri-Aid she is hardly limping and once she gets moving around the limp goes away.

That's wonderful news that Misha just has a callus on her paw and it can be trimmed.  I'm so glad she is a healthy girl.  Most pain meds are hard on the stomach so if she doesn't need any then it's best to just do what you are doing.

Kisses to Misha for being such a good girl.

I'll be glad to give her kisses from you.  But with all the kisses I have given her today, I may have to take some hair ball treatments.  I am just so relieved that callus is nothing serious.

I'm so glad to hear that Misha just has a callus on her paw and you can clip it when it needs it again.  You must be so relieved.

That's great that she is a healthy girl too.

That's good that you can carry on with the cosequin and nutri-aid for her arthritis.  You don't want to use Metacam until you absolutely have to.

Kisses to that pretty girl.

I am just so relieved that it's nothing more than a callus and that I clip some of it off when necessary.  It seems that the cosequin and Nutri-Aid is working with her arthritis.  Misha was a good girl at the vets and I am happy that she is a healthy girl.  The vet wants her to shed a few pounds as it will be helpful for her arthritis.  The vet suggested that I cut back some of her T/D kibble.

I sure don't mind giving my calico girl lots of kisses, but I'll soon be crunching on Misha's hair ball treats.  I am relieved that it's only a callus and I can clip some of it off when necessary.
