Anybody have any ideas?

This is kind of silly, but does anybody have any ideas on what I can do with ^Jake's^ kitty perch?? I've been staying with my Mom, so when ^Jake^ died I put his kitty perch in my storage locker. I'm moving this weekend and I don't know what to do with it. Throwing it away is out of the question ( I can't bring myself to do that ) Do you think a shelter might want it if I vaccumed it real good? I'm so torn because I want to hold onto it because I went out and bought it the day I got him...he loved that thing SO much, yet it's a hideous green and, well, ^Jake's^ not here anymore to enjoy it. Thank you for any input!

(((^Jake's^ Mom))) What a wonderful thought.....I think there are probably a number of shelters that would love to have such a loving gift. And wouldn't ^Jake^ love to see all of those sweet kitties enjoying his favorite perch!

Perhaps an independent no kill shelter....there are so many. Please let us know what you decide. I know ^Jake^ will be thrilled!

(((Lisa))), I think donating ^Jake's^ kitty perch to a shelter is a wonderful idea...one that ^Jake^ would most definitely would approve of...and the shelters are so very much in need of so many things...and for the first time ever there may be some kitties getting to enjoy one of the finer things in life!!!

(((Hugs))) to you and your ^Jake^,

When ^Smokey^ died I packed up a lot of things and took them to our local shelter. I gave them a lot of food - I'd just bought a big bag of it - and all the treats he had gotten for Christmas, but never ate, and some of his many brushes and combs - we never could find just the right one to get through all that fur. And a few toys, after I'd cleaned them up. I saved his collar, leash, dishes with his name on them and a couple favorite toys. They're in a box. I don't know what I'll do with them, though. I still can't bear to look at them, but I'm glad I have them (~sigh~ where's that hanky when I need it?).

The shelter appreciated the gifts very much and I thought, since that was where we had gotten ^Smokey^, they should get something in return.

(((Hugs))) to you, Lisa, and I'm so very sorry about ^Jake^.

Oh ((Lisa)) I think that ^Jake^ would highly approve of donating his kitty perch to a no kill shelter! They are always in such need of donations! You can find many good kitty rescue orgs through Petsmarts, if you have them in your area. Or sometimes the local petstores (that do not sell animals) know the local kitty rescue orgs.

What a wonderful jester, I'm sure that ^Jake^ is at the bridge beeming with pride on what a wonderful ((mommy)) he has!
