Ever feel like this?

I sometimes feel like other people think I'm crazy for having so much emotion over a pet.. After losing a brother and sister to me it just gets overwhelming and when things like death can happen so fast I don't think your hearts know what to do. I want to say to these people just walk a moment in my shoes...Some people must not have hearts very big..
{{{amyielu}}} What a wonderful question. Yes, yes, yes!!! After my ^Whisper^ earned his ^wings^, I could feel my family and friends "groaning" when I became a bit emotional. For example, if a beautiful pup or kitty was on the TV, and I started tearing up .... I could feel them looking at me ... saying "oh geez, there she goes again".
So yes, if we're crazy ... then we need to start a club ... the BridgeMom's club. {{{hugs}}}
Welcome to our club amyielu.....
I know, it is surprising to me that people just don't 'get' it, they do think we are being over emotional about our furry little friends and I feel like they are my kids not exchangable possesions that I get rid of when they become too much trouble. I take my comittment to them and my love for them very seriously.
Ugh...I actually wanted to up my medication after losing my cat! I called my doctor to get the ok to add a few mgs and found that he had retired and I would have to see someone else to get the ok. That "someone else" seemed absolutely mystified that I would be so upset about an animal. (This is an M.D. mind you) I had to go back to see him after a month and when I started to tear up in his office, he looked at me and said "Are you still crying over that cat??" Needless to say, I left the meds where they were and never went back. My neighbors were more understanding than that man!
Some people never learn that animals are not just things you collect and return when they're too old or expensive. It's absolutely mind bending that they cannot understand how deeply they are able to connect and communicate to and with us~~they help us in ways some folks will never know. And for this, I feel very, very sorry for "those folks"
Thanks for asking such a great question!!
