I just found out that my best friend, Bear, has congestive heart failure and has a year to live. I'm still numb. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a book on dealing with the loss of a pet? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you both for such wonderful words of comfort and caring. I love my Bear more than words can say and am crushed that he is sick. I will take your advice and spend everyday telling him how much he is loved. I've been so heartsick that I haven't been able to see that I still have time with my furbaby. In fact, I am going to snuggle with him right now. Thanks again. -Bear's Mom

So Sorry!!! I just put my beloved dog Sabrina down on the 8th of this month. She had cancer. I was blessed to have her for 11 years, 9 days. I had surgery done on her the 9th of Oct. to remove most of her tumor. I thought I would was going to beat the odds ( her cancer was very aggressive ) and get at least 1 more year........ I got 3 mos. Miss her so much every day. She was part of my soul.

Love, hug, take pictures daily.

All my best,

Kristy and Sabrina (worlds most amazing Australian Shepherd)

Kristy, I feel such a sudden kinship with you looking at that GORGEOUS picture of your baby. Seeing her shaved front leg, either from Iv's or chemo, like my Boys had, & her LOVING the beach, just like my Boys.
