RIP Bob

I am so glad to see this forum. I feel like I need to say something about my beloved cat, Bob, that will remain forever seen. He was a tiny bob-tailed Himalayan mix that I had for 12 years. He suffered with crystals for years despite three surgeries for blockages. His kidneys failed so we had to put him down. He was so beautiful.

Every morning I'd wake up to his gentle meow as he was sitting on the kitchen counter waiting for his "coffee" (a drop or two of half-and-half). I always knew something wasn't right when he wasn't on the counter and the morning we had to put him down I had to go hunt for him. He was hiding under the bed.

He sat on my lap and watched tv every night. He slept beside me curled up by my pillow every night. I buried him curled up with his favorite blanket.

RIP Bob.

{{{Bob's Mom}}}  Welcome to our little corner of the web.  I'm so glad your beloved ^Bob^ (with his beautiful new angel ^wings^) guided you here, to be in the company of other grieving BridgeParents who truly understand your shattered heart.  {{{gentle hugs}}}

Oh Owaitress, please accept my deepest sympathy for the passing of your precious ^Bob^.  From what little we know of your sweet furangel, it's easy to know your ^Bob^ is, and will always be, forever love.  {{{hugs}}}  Having to make that heartbreaking decision is the most difficult, yet loving thing a furmom can do for her sweet furchild.  I know your ^Bob^ will love you forever for having the strength to release him from his tired body.  It's just so sad, that once their pain ends.... ours begins.

Please know that we'll always be here for you, just as all our furangels are now with ^Bob^ at the Rainbow Bridge.

With my heart,
Lin, Whisper's Mom

Bob's Mom

I am soo sorry to hear about Bob; he sounds like was a wonderful cat.

You sound like you had a beautiful relationship. A relationship of love and companionship.
At this time, the absence of our fur babies, who were once (always) there, makes loneliness hard to bear. There is no remedy  other than time (in my experience).
You are not alone though...All of us on the board have been blessed with the magic and love fur babies can bring and (unfortunately) the grief that occurs when they leave (all too soon).
Sharing helps so much....
          Hugs, Mark (and Bicky)
