Memorial Day..... memories....

This holiday weekend - (Memorial Day) - I can imagine families traveling to vacation destinations, BBQ's and picnics, and happy people celebrating their well deserved time off.

For those of us left behind....... (not in the celebrating mood, to say the least)....... all we have is our memories. It's difficult for us - because grieving is not about the furbabies who've earned their wings (they are fine) - it's really about those of us left behind. (When their pain ended, ours began.)

For this Memorial Day....... I invite you to post a favorite memory about your beloved furangel.

Love and memories last forever - may they bring you peace.

^Whisper^, ^Whisper^, ^Whisper^ .........

Ah...... it's really hard to pick just one.......

The trips we've taken...... the silly hats.... the big red lipstick kisses on his face...... the smile.......

But, I think my favorite memory - the one that I cherish the most....... was when ^Whisp^ and I used to sing together. I would play the guitar, and ^Whisp^ would sing. (I swear, he was on key more than me!) I would play silly songs, while ^Whisper^ would sing with joy.....AARROOOOO, aarrroooooo, aarrooooo......

What a beautiful memory........... I still miss that with all my heart...........

Buddy Memories......

his snoring at the bottom of the bed

how stingy he was with his kisses....so they meant so much when you got one

our snuggle time every day when I got home from work

This Memorial Day I'm missing my boy very, very much.

Janice, Petey, Schmitty, and ^^Buddy^^

Lets see....

For ^Cody^ the memory that sticks with me the most (and the one that I miss the most) was waking up every morning to him laying right next to me with his head on the pillow. He seemed to know when it was that I actually woke up as his tail would slowly thump. As soon as I acknowledged him by saying "good morning Booey", his tail would go wild.

As for ^Savy^ it is harder to pick just one. I really remember and miss her instincts about people, her protectiveness of me, her ability to make me laugh and the way she just 'got me'. It shouldn't suprise me as she got taught by one of the best and that was by

There are so many memories - I couldn't list them all no matter how much time I had.

I can still feel my chinnie, Gretchen's little paws combing through my wet hair when I'd come play with her after my shower. She'd make this funny tisking sound as she groomed me, as if to say, "silly human, you've gotten all wet again. You're going to catch your death of cold!" She was so loving!
