I lost my sweet Sadie girl one year ago today...I can't believe it has already been a year. In some ways it seems like it's been a lifetime and other days it seems like yesterday. I have dreams of her, me calling her name wondering why she won't come in. I call other dogs Sadie without even thinking about it. I'm sad and can't really explain to others why today is harder than most. I first visited this board when she died. I was so desperate for answers and comfort. It was so comforting to know other people knew how I felt. I wanted to write Sadie's story but I couldn't bring myself to do so. Over the last year, so many people asked me to share Sadie's story because it is so special. I hope I can bring myself to do so one day - perhaps on here. Thank you for opening your hearts and sharing your stories - it is so comforting. Lin, you are so special to encourage us with your notes and love. Thank you for all you do to provide comfort in times of sorrow. I know my sweet Sadie girl is playing with all her new brothers and sisters so I love being able to read all of their stories. 030.JPG

{{{^Sadie girl's^ Mom}}}  I'm so glad your sweet girl inspired you to post on her 1st WingDay.  Welcome.  Like you, I just couldn't accept that my ^boy^ had been at the Bridge for a year.  To me, it still felt like yesterday, but then again... a lifetime.  {{{hugs}}}  I guess that's how our shattered hearts slowly begin to heal.  We'll forever be on Bridge time.  :smileysad:

How I wish I had the magic cure for a broken heart.  But sadly, I've come to understand that we must grieve, as deeply as we love.  So if you love with all your heart, you'll grieve with all your heart.  {{{hugs}}}

Oh ^Sadie's^ Mom, thank you for posting the beautiful picture of your amazing girl.  Now it's so easy to see all the love in her eyes... all that love for you, the Mom she loves with all her heart.  And, if I may say ... I can see a little spunk in her eyes, so I have the feeling your ^Sadie^ and my ^Whisp^ have become fast friends at the Bridge.   I'm hoping that my ^boy^ was the furangel selected to guide ^Sadie^ to the top of the Rainbow for her 1st Wingday:  http://bridgemom.tripod.com/WingDay.html

{{{halesb22}}}  I hope you'll be able to stay with us, and share a little more about your beautiful ^girl^.  Please know that we'll always be here for you, just as all our bridgekids are now with ^Sadie^ on the Other Side.

With my heart,

Hi halesb22,

I wasn't here when you first posted about Sadie, so I wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. What a beautiful girl! I hope someday you will be able to share her story with us.
