"I found you in the cemetery on the worst day of my life.
Someone had left you there with a pile of crumbs to survive.
They had no idea what they had thrown away.
When life was dark you would cast a little light for me.
You'd wait every day for my arrival and offer me happiness.
You were quite a character.
I always said you were a dog in a cat's suit.
How could it be this little pile of fur could mean so much?
Almost half of my life you were my sweet little pet.
You asked for love and gave it back ten-fold.
There is a void now.
A couch without you on it.
A silence in the night instead of your sounds.
We would wake up and yell to you, "be quiet!"
Now I would trade anything to be awoken by you.
I won't have to worry about putting my water glass down,
because you won't be here to stick your whole head in it.
The biggest void of all... is the one you left in my heart."
- your "mom"
Thank you for 20 great years Bob.
Life will not be the same without you.
