Tomorrow afternoon I pick up a new foster for DFW Pug Rescue.  Huntington is an 8-year-old male who has just completed heartworm treatment.  I am told he is small -- like maybe 16 pounds.  He looks like my daughter's pug.

I'm excited to pick up my new foster pug tomorrow! Isn't he precious? Huntington is an 8-year-old male who has just completed heartworm treatment and is ready to find his forever home. More info when I get him here.

Oh he's sweet,, like his name too, very important sounding "huntington".  Gaye,  pugs are the most popular dog in Germany,  they are called "Mops".   One doesn't see the black ones so often and when I do see them they are all quite tiny....   hope the family likes him.   He looks like he needs a good cuddling.  ;O)  I like Huntington's tail,,, quite bushy...   he's got character.

There is already an application on file for Huntington, so I probably won't have him long.  He has been on crate rest for heartworm treatment, and I am to evaluate him.  How does he do with my pack?  With my cat?  With pottying outside/asking to go?  Food and toy aggression?

I am trying to walk a fine line here with fostering.  I don't want to take a hospice pug.  I'm still grieving Moe and Roly Poly.  On the other hand, I don't want a really young dog, bouncing off my walls.  I don't think Anya would be agreeable to fostering a female.  I've been looking for an older fellow, still in decent health and adoptable.  There just haven't been many.

BTW - my Jabaar is a black pug, and he is 22.6 pounds.  A big-boned, clumsy bull in a china shop.  My daughter's black male is small, though - only 16 pounds.

Huntington's adopter came to the house at 2:45 this afternoon, signed the contract, and left with him.  He has gone home to Dallas to meet his new sister, TuLup, a fawn pug.

I had him 24 hours.

On to the next one....
