Hi everyone...and i hope that you and your furkids are having a great week.

It has suddenly become "cool" here in VA.  Last Tuesday it was almost too hot to walk Cleo...and today I'm wearing a jacket!!

Cleo does not like the heat...and is much happier when the weather turns cool.  She's also much more active at the Dog Park in the cooler weather.

Do your furkids act any differently when the weather changes?

Both my dogs seem oblivious to the changing seasons.  The big life changer is a thunderstorm.  Brownie gets a litte nervous, but Comet gets paranoid.  Several hit this morning starting at about 6:00am and are still rolling through 3.5 hours later.  He usually goes into the bathroom, which oddly enough is actually the safest room in the house from a structural standpoint (no basement).  Fortunately he's mostly blind and half deaf so unless the house is vibrating, he can sleep through them.

This year it looks like the leaves are going from green to brown and falling off the trees.  We aren't getting any orange, reds, and yellows.  They say it's due to last year's early spring and then a drought.  At least the fruit in Michigan this year is awesome!

Oh say, can you see?

Actually I've been seeing the same thing here in VA too....we have mostly firs and pines but the deciduous trees are mostly losing brown leaves without seeming to change color.  Odd....
