Anything special going on for Labor Day?

Monday is one of the very few days we close (other than Sundays) so I have a two day weekend....LOL....  It's amazing what I can get done with an extra day; even when I say that I don't want to spend the whole day cleaning...there's so much that I can do with those extra hours.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate and DH can take Cleo to the Dog Park 4 days in a row (they're there now).

Anything special planned for the Holiday?

Nothing special planned.  I should mow the back yard.  I'll see how I feel later!

Oh say, can you see?

I defrosted the ancient upright freezer in the garage.

I bathed three dogs.

Went to dinner with daughter, Amy, and her boyfriend.

It rained Labor Day.  We need the rain so badly, but why does it have to pick a holiday?  Only got about a half inch, but it was gloomy and showery until three or four in the afternoon.

I just hate dreary, rainy days.  We were lucky that the weekend was nice....I actually went to the Dog Park with DH and Cleo.  An Eagle Scount has installed an agility run in the park for his Eagle Scount project....although I know I'd "never" get Cleo to go near it....LOL....

We have no grass in our backyard...it's all hardscaped.  but we have a very wide and steeply sloped front yard.  Since we work 6 days a week one of our "luxuries" is to have a service come to mow the front.  Unfortunately, no one does a great job.

The last time they came I asked DH "Didn't the lawn care people just come to mow?  There's a large area they missed."  We called the supervisor - who is a former client - and he went out to check.  While he was at the house he called me to make sure he was looking at the right area (yes....the area with grass about a foot high!!).  He noted that there were a couple of shrubs so they would have to use a weed eater to clear it.  Uh...you're a lawn care company....I don't care if you have to hire goats...just get the grass cut!
