and I never went near the shelter!  Thanks to social media, I was able to put puzzle pieces together to get a Puggle off the euthanasia list and on his way to a new life.

Frisco will be going to New Orleans once Hurricane Isaac passes.  He is being neutered tomorrow, and I will pick him up tomorrow afternoon and temp foster him until transport can take him.  Pray for my sanity.  Moe is almost 12, blind and deaf; Anya and Roly are 9; Frisco is a yearling.

Bless you Gaye!!!  How wonderful!  I'm certainly not a computer maven....but I'm using social media more and more in my business too.  It's so wonderful you were able to save this little guy....and he looks like a real cutie.

I'll be "praying' for you....LOL....

Little Frisco is very cute... I think he'll be kind quiet after being neutered, maybe the other furbabes will not bother him and him them. Hoping so anyway.. what happens in New Orleans?

I had to go to the shelter this morning for a meeting, and went in the back in Holding to catch a glimpse of him in th flesh, since I had never seen or met him.  OMG  His cage card had "USE EXTREME CAUTION" in red letters!  When I pick him up tonight, he will still be groggy from his neuter surgery (as he had not been done yet when I left at noon).  But I hope he's not a snappy, bitey, aggressive little thing!  I hope the transport guy takes him this week!   He's only 13 pounds, but this could be a challenge.

He gave the vet no trouble. He let the kennel lady pick him up and put him in the car. He is strong willed and growls when I put him in the crate, although he goes in and out of it and seems to like it. He is a big time leg lifter. Growled at mevwhen I corrected him for trying to hike on the couch. He obviously belonged to a person who had no idea how to train a dog!

On a brighter note, he is as cite as a bug. His kennel picture does not do him justice.

i'm glad he came thru the surgery well. Even the photo is cute...
Gaye, just be careful OK, could they not tell you at the shelter why that sign was on his cage?

 Frisco is here

Frisco in my driveway last evening.

He obviously belonged to someone who had no idea whatsoever how to train a dog and never bothered to pay the hundred bucks to take him to PetSmart classes.  He lifts his leg all over the house, and when I go to correct him, he cowers and runs into his crate.  It appears his former owners hit him when he tried that.

He growls at me when I try to take him out of his crate.  He is strong-willed.  Shelter notes say growls and snaps when you try to pick him up.  I picked him up and put him on my lap a few minutes ago.  No problem.  I also was able to get a belly band on him.

His adopter is a former dog trainer.  He will be just fine with a little work.

Roly Poly doesn't like him much, and Roly has growled and snapped at Frisco.  Frisco has not been aggressive and hasn't growled or snapped back.  I leashed them both up this morning and took them on a walk to the park together.  Don't know if it will help them get along, but they both enjoyed their outing.

Oh poor thing... what is it with people? Is it not common knowledge that whacking a dog for pp'ing is like telling it he shouldn't pee. Geez !

I find it good that he sat on your lap though, and that he let you walk him. I think he'll be fine with the new owner. He just needs a bit of love and one on one training. He certainly is a handsome little fellow... he's part pug and what else????
