Laura here in VA with 6YO lab/mix, Cleo.  Nothing special, as usual....LOL....  DH wanted to do some work at the house so I was in the Studio all day Saturday.  Sunday I had a meeting with a couple of women from my community; I was roped into being the Social Committee Chair so we have to plan a Fall Picnic; if anyone really wants it.

Cleo went to the park all three day and played with lots of dogs....I'm always happy when she has a good time.

Barbara in Michigan with Weimaraners Comet, almost 10 and Allie, 13.  I'm still putting my house back together after the carpet cleaning and total rearranging after Jester died and the Weims peed all over it.  Saturday I did pretty much nothing, and on Sunday, I took the Weims (with help from a friend) to the World's Largest Dog Wash at the local ball park.  It was a lot of fun and I got to see hundreds of beautiful dogs of all sizes.  For $40 both dogs were bathed and had their nails trimmed.  The cost was a donation to Gilda's Club.

All in all, it was a great weekend.

Oh say, can you see?

Gaye here in Arlington, TX.  Pugs:  Moe, Anya and Roly.

Volunteered at the shelter off-site adoption event at PetSmart on Saturday.  Took a gorgeous chocolate and white hound puppy with hazel eyes, named Hank.  Traffic was slow; I guess most people were back-to-school shopping.  A young man spent some time with him, and left.  He couldn't get Hank out of his mind, so he was at the shelter waiting for Hank when the truck returned.  We had two dogs adopted that way; eight total.

Cats are half-price all week this week.  I spent most of the day at the shelter.  I'm no cat expert, but I got three good cat adoptions -- all three from the euthanasia list!  A Siamese listed as "fearful', a kitten in isolation with a kitty cold, and a little yellow kitten who had simply been at the shelter too long.

Terre from  Arkansas with Jack and Taz, Toy Fox Terriers. Saturday we drove into the city and had breakfast. Then home and dh painted while I watered the flowers. Jack and Taz stood around and watched LOL! Then I went to church Saturday night, came home and picked up dh and we drove into the city again and ate out at a nice New Orleans-type restaurant. Sunday, was a relaxing day.  We didn't do anything.

Gilda's Club is a non-profit cancer support group, begun in tribute to Gilda Radnor who died in 1989 of ovarian cancer.  They offer support to patients, family and friends.  There are chapters all over the country.  They do great work.

Donna here with Emmy, Airedale Terrier/Hound mix, 12 y/o and Buzz, Greyhound, 11 y/o in HOTzona!!!  We had a brutally hot (115) weekend so I spent as much time as possible inside.  My electric bill is going to be sky-high!  But Saturday I picked up my last barstool that was on order and then went over to my sister's for dinner.  My dad loves to cook but he hasn't been making anything good in a long time.  He's just too old and doesn't get it right any more.  But we all eat what he cooks (at my sister's) like we love it - LOLOLOL!  Sunday I stayed home.
