Good Morning everyone! How was your weekend?  Mine was good. Nothing like a beautiful weekend for working in the yard.

Ok, please sign in with your name, location, your dogs's name and breed....and what you did over the weekend.

Barbara in Michigan, with 10 yr old Weimaraner Comet, and 1+ yr old Greyhound, Babs.  I had a rough weekend, having been trampled in a crowded crosswalk on Friday night (sprained my ankles - again), Babs is an escape artist and has gotten out of my yard twice (very hard to catch even when both feet work!).  I stayed inside all weekend icing, watching movies and hobbling around.  Babs is an energy machine and I seriously don't know if I'm going to be able to keep her.  Comet goes in for blood work on Wednesday and I'll have a good talk with my vet about her.

Oh say, can you see?

Laura in VA with 7YO lab/mix, Cleo.  Well...we finally got our power back on Friday night.  I had to do some catching up on Saturday.  Bought flowers for all my pots, as well as the planters I put out at the Studio.  Sunday did potting....so that's all done.  Other than that....just business as usual....

Gaye here in Texas with too many pugs:  Anya (11), Jabaar (10), Roo Ben the foster (9) and Pre who belongs to my daughter (2).  Plus Dylan the Siamese cat (8).

Didn't do much of anything interesting this weekend.

Terre from Arkansas with Jack and Taz, Toy Fox Terriers. Jack is 10 and Taz is 9.

Spent most of my weekend working in the yard - watering, weeding (blehhh). Saturday night went to church, afterwards we drove into the city and spent the evening watching our minor league team. It was actually a private party (dh's employer). Lots of people there. They had a spread of hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream. It was fun but it was very humid. I was melting!!. Sunday - I was a slug LOL

I don't know how I do it, either. One more animal in this house would throw me over the edge.

It was a really emotional decision for me, but I've decided to give Babs back to the rescue.  She needs so much more than I am able to give her, and I need so much less enthusiasm from her.  They just want everyone to be comfortable with the fit, so I will "swap her out" for a Mini Pin/Beagle mix tomorrow.  Brownie has been in rescue for over two years, and she doesn't "sparkle," so has been passed over time after time for adoption.  She is very sweet, is good with cats, has met grumpy Comet, and doesn't bounce off the walls and ceiling.  I'll keep you posted.

Oh say, can you see?

I'm so sorry to hear that Barbara! I had a feeling Babs was too young for you. I know she would have been too young for me! That's why I like them around 3 y/o. All that maniac energy has been spent already! I hope you enjoy Brownie! It's all about the "fit"!! Hugs!
