Good Morning everyone! How was your weekend?  Mine was good - didn't really do anything. Saturday worked in the yard (yawn)...still doing a lot of watering since we have had NO rain! We didn't even go out Saturday night. Sunday - it was a quiet and relaxing day. Dh left on his weekly trip and will return Wednesday.

Ok, please sign in with your name, location, your dogs's name and breed....and what you did over the weekend.

Laura here in VA with 7YO lab/mix, Cleo.

Nothing special; work part of the day on Saturday and Sunday lots of home stuff.  I actually did take an hour or so and went with DH and Cleo to the Dog Park...and then had to get caught up with laundry when I got back....LOL....  This week I'm taking a couple of afternoons to clean windows; I wanted to get them professionally done but right now it's too expensive.  I have "so" many windows and glass doors that they can't be done in a day.  I also need to do my outside windows with Windex Outdoor....they're way too large and high to reach.  But at least I can finish up the ones that I can reach.

Hi, All.  Barbara here in West Michigan with 10 yr old Weim Comet and 4 yr old MinPin/Beagle mix, Brownie. We had a gorgeous weekend which has given way to a heat wave with high humidity again, so life as we know it comes to a halt for the next 5 days.  I did, however, get the windows of the four season porch cleaned on the outside.  Ended up soaked!  All my other house windows except the 10 footer in the living room are the kind I can clean from inside.

Today I took Brownie for her distemper shot.  Seemed a bit odd to me that two weeks after I adopted her I had to pay for a shot, but they gave me 6 months of heartworm and 5 months of flea & tick for nothing, so I shouldn't complain.  Those cost a lot more than the $32 I paid today!

I think I'll get the cat groomed with a furminator.  Anyone ever use one of those things on their pet?

Oh say, can you see?

Donna here with 4 y/o Greyhound Dante in Arizona.  I didn't do anything on Saturday and just went grocery shopping on Sunday.  I don't tend to do much over the weekends in the summer as it's just too hot!!!!

Barbara - I use the furminator. It's great. I use the one for small pets. Anyway, it really gets out the undercoat from Taz's body. She has thick hair and really sheds alot.

And here - I complain about the heat in Arkansas. It must be really hot there, Donna. I'm sick of the humidity. Doesn't do me any good to straighten my hair - it will just go frizz!! lol

Sounds like a big undertaking. The only window I really clean is the big picture window in the living room....and our glass outer doors (like a screen door). Most of the other windows are very high up (bi-level home) and can be cleaned inside but I never do that LOL

Gaye here in Dallas/Fort Worth, with the pugs, Anya, Jabaar and Roo Ben.

Saturday I worked the offsite adoption event for the city shelter from 8:30 until 3:30.  Brought home the harnesses, bandanas and leashes taken off those dogs that were adopted and washed them all, because the gal who usually does that had to leave early.

We adopted six of the 11 dogs we took, and one was reclaimed by his owner.  Brought tears.  This woman and her young daughter had taken their very handsome, tall, lean, black and tan chihuahua and surrendered him to the shelter because they were moving, could not afford the pet deposit, and the apartment people would not work with her.  Miraculously, there was a change in managers, and the new manager said she could pay the deposit in installments, and they came to readopt their dog.  "Boston" saw them immediately and bounded into his Mommy's arms, giving her kisses.

Sunday was church, and it rained all day!  Ohmigosh, we needed the rain.  And it rained all day Monday, too.  And we just had a thunderstorm about a half hour ago!

What a  heart-warming story about Boston. So glad it ended well.

It is like a mini New England summer here.  Day four, still raining, with temps in the 80's.  Soooo unusual for North Texas in mid-July!

I won't have to run the sprinkler or schlep water to my plants for a whole week!

Of course, I wanted to shampoo the pugs, and I can't do that.
