Hi Ladies! Gaye must be busy or she forgot (lol)....sooooo I'm posting the roll call. How was your weekend?  Mine was busy! Friday night - had dinner with friends. Saturday - spent the day working in the yard, tending the flowers and watering a lot. Saturday night we went out with another couple. We were social butterflies this weekend LOL! Then Sunday spent the day resting and relaxing. DH fixed us a nice meal - calabacitas (summer squash,  corn and green chile), pork tenderloin,  green beans....and strawberry shortcake. It was a really nice meal!!

Ok, please sign in with your name, location, your dogs's name, age and breed....and what you did over the weekend.

Edited: Oops forgot to check-in. Terre from Arkansas with Jack and Taz. Jack is 10 and Taz is 9. They are Toy Fox Terriers. They didn't do much over the weekend. It was hot and besides their daily walk - they stayed indoors (mostly).

Nope.  Didn't forget.  I have a class on Monday mornings.

Gaye here in Dallas/Fort Worth, with Anya, Jabaar and Roo Ben, the pugs.  11, 10 and 9.

Didn't do much of anything this weekend.  We had our day of glory in the Fourth of July parade last Thursday.

Barbara in Michigan with 10yr old Weimaraner, Comet, 4 yr old Min Pin mix, Brownie, and Keek the Himalayan Kat.

I truly didn't do much.  Had a pedicure today.  It's been humid (88%) so these 85 degree days just suck the life right out of me.  Once the sweat starts dripping off the end of my nose, I head for cool comfort.  Having had stomach flu last week also didn't help my energy level any!

Oh say, can you see?

Josie from central Ohio with Rudi, 2-1/2 yr old dachshund.  We are just today getting back to a spoonful of kibbles after 2 weeks on a bland diet.  I shared down below on the board she did not fare well at the kennel, so Vet is guessing the stress of that flipped her good and bad bugs in her GI system and had 11 days of diarrhea.  So hoping she tolerates the kibbles mixed in with her bland diet, hasn't had diarrhea since July 4th.   I so didn't want to learn all these new lessons but now I know how to treat diarrhea before I can check with the Vet.

Nonstop heavy rain in Central Ohio, we are going to float away.

The past weekend was quiet as all weekends are when one is retired and widowed.   Doubtful we will get to do our daily walk outside.

Rudi has been a trooper through all these changes in diet and meds and whatnot.   Appreciate having a vet that told me I could call him on the holiday and I took him up on that and called him the 4th.   I pray Rudi never has to return to the kennel, have a private home lined up for her to stay at next April when I go to Europe and will be gone 3 weeks.  She is spoiled and very use to hanging out with me, sleeping with me and being in a kennel room by herself with many other dogs barking was too much for her to handle.  Lesson learned and thank God it was only for 50 hrs.

Hi Terre,
Suzan & Coffee (4 yr old cocker) , Germany, just hanging out today.  (Sorry I'm late, don't get here too often). Sign in seems to be a bit easier lately though.

DH /ds etc were away on business over the holiday so I was having some "me time" alone doing what I wanted to or what needed to get done.    Lots accomplished.  Dh is due home this afternoon so we'll be back on schedule and routine.  LOL

Have a lovely week everyone.

Suzan - is your dh gone a lot? Mine is. In fact, he left this morning for a few days. He's gone usually every week. I know what you mean about the schedule and routine - LOL

Josie - I have to tell you Rudi sounds like my FIL's dachshund. "Callie" doesn't like the kennel either and when my inlaws are out of town Callie stays with friends. Callie really is a wreck. It used to be when they were gone for an hour or two she would rip up the mini blinds! She even peed on my MIL's side of the bed LOL!

I'm wondering if this is due to the breed. What you've described sounds so much like Callie. Anyway, I hope Rudi does stay in a home while you're gone. It sounds like the kennel is stressful for her. I feel so lucky my dogs like the kennel!

Barbara - Oh, I know about the humidity. It really does suck the life out of you - like me, it really wears me down. Nice you got a pedicure. How are your feet doing?

Donna here with 4 y/o Greyhound, Dante in HOTzona. Saturday just went grocery shopping - it was so dang hot! Sunday my sister came over and we went to a local Mexican restaurant which was surprisingly good and then we looked at some condos for lease for her. She's sold her house and has to be out in one month so looking for a place to live. Going to be hard with 2 kids, 3 dogs and a very loud bird!

Terre:  Rudi was at this kennel when she was 14 months old for 3 nights and did OK, so I don't know if it was because it was a busier time of year and so much barking from other dogs or because we are so much closer and she sleeps with me vs. she didn't when she was at the kennel last time.  She is almost always sitting on top of me and I spend a lot of time with her so I think she got lonely and stressed out.   My one friend has watched her before overnight and Rudi always does well at Pattys but is not tolerant of her husband and I think Dennis told Patty: no more!  .  I am just grateful she is finally better.   Being first time fur-mom I was really worried.
