Oh Donna - it was a trip of a lifetime. We flew to San Francisco and stayed one day. From there we left for Maui and spent two nights at Kula Lodge and that was very nice. We didn't have tv - so it was interesting. One day we took a long drive up a national park, very mountainous and that was nice. After Kula we stayed at a Sheraton resort. DH had planned on a 5-course meal on the patio of our room. Ohhh, it was heavenly food and as we ate we had a wonderful view of the Pacific (the sun setting). It was just so nice. Then we left there and flew to Honolulu and stayed one day. I wanted to go to Pearl Harbor and visit. My uncle who I never met (not born yet) was stationed there during the bombing and escaped. Later his plane was shot over Germany. But anyway, I wanted to see where he had been. We couldn't see the USS Arizona memorial because it was too windy to take a boat out there but we saw the rest of the subs and ships.  It was very nice. We spent all day there and then left that same day. The 12 hour plane ride home was good even though we lost 4 hours - we were soooo tired when we got home. I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep. Yesterday morning I slept until 8:30!!! Very unlke me to sleep that late. Jack and Taz are back home and they look trim and thin.

Karen here in beautiful downtown Mississippi with Lucy the CockerLab and William the SpitzPoodle, both about 3.  It's been a warm but wet winter, and I broke my back on the floors this weekend only to have rain all day again today.  So I am going to have to start over.  Puppy prints are cute, but really...

Yesterday I had some little girls over here visiting, their mama came to buy a table I had for sale.  The dogs had a good half hour of romping with the girls, chasing balls, and being silly.  I gave the little girls each a Clementine (Mandarine orange) and they put them in their pockets to eat after playing with the dogs.  Lucy saw that...and snagged her a Clementine out of one child's pocket!  She thought it was a ball, she did not try to eat it.

We had a high around 70 here today, and I WAS out in the yard, picking up sticks and branches, picking up dog poo, checking the young trees I have planted in the past two years to see if they are still alive.  The Bradford Pear is budding out.  Nothing on the Crape Myrtle, but the branches aren't brittle, and I think it is alive.  Same with the Desert Willow.

The dogs loved being outside today!

Laura here in VA with 7YO lab/mix, Cleo.  Cold out there today!!  Saturday we had rain all day that turned into snow showers, so there was some snow onthe cars/grass on Sunday morning.  Yesterday was sunny and cold...and it's the same today.  I'm already done with Winter....LOL.....
