Does your dog come to you when you call them in? When Jack and Taz are having a grand old time outside they just ignore me when I call them. They'll look at me like "do I know you?" LOL!! I was just wondering if ya'll experience the same thing. What do you do to get them to come in?

I usually never have a problem getting Cleo in from the yard...unless something has made her nervous like when we have a service person in the house.

Now...getting her to "come" if she gets loose is another matter.  Just a couple of weeks ago when I had the exterminator over we were talking at the door and Cleo squeezed her way out; I was able to stop her in the front  yard by not panicking....but she was headed downt down the lawn into the driveway.  So...she does not know the "come" command...or chooses to ignore it.

Ah yes - they ignore us. That has happened to me too. Talking to someone at the front door and Jack sneaks out! It's really hard to get him to come back. When Jack and Taz are in the yard and I can't get them to come in I'll threaten with "Who wants a cookie??" LOL, they run to the house everytime - well, most times ;-)

The recall command has never been one that I have mastered with any of my dogs - LOL! Emmy was the best at it but the Greyhounds - forget about it! Dante, as did Spencer & Buzz, comes to me only if he feels like it which is pretty much never. LOLOLOL!
