The only time Jack growls at me is when I get too close to him when he's trying to sleep. I usually tell him to get off the sofa and sit on his spot and say "this is mine!" He'll stop growling after that. Taz never EVER growls at me.

Do your dogs growl at you and how do you handle it?

Cleo never ever growls at any time....in fact, the other night she was growling in her sleep and I wasn't sure what the noise was....LOL....

My ^Maxwell^ would play growl all the time....but I knew he was playing.  ^Samantha^ would sometimes growl towards the end because I believe she was uncomfortable....but never anything to worry about.

Yeah, Jack and Taz always growl in their sleep. I think it's so funny.

Dante has never growled ever! Emmy never growled ever either which was scary because she would attack other dogs without the growling. Both Spencer & Buzz would growl at me if I was on MY bed and disturbing them. Of course I would kick them off the bed each and every time they did that so you would think they would put things together. Growl = get kicked off bed. But nooooooooooooooo LOL! So it went on and on. LOL! Spencer eventually stopped doing it but I think it was just because he got old and couldn't be bothered. Buzz never stopped doing it and his growling I paid attention to because I truly think he would have bitten me if he didn't like the outcome of what he wanted. I just stopped it right away by getting him off the bed. :)

Donna - I laughed at your comment "growl=get kicked off bed". That sounds just like Jack. I could just pass by the sofa and there he goes growling. He's better at it now but just sometimes I have to tell him to get off the sofa when he growls at me.

Only Anya growls.  Usually at one of the other dogs over a toy or treat or something, and at me only when I'm trimming her nails.

Jabaar yips and howls and barks, but he doesn 't growl.

Roo Ben whimpers and cries, but he does not growl, howl or bark.  I have never heard him bark; I don't think he can.
