Does your dog have separation anxiety?  Under some circumstances, but not others?  What do they do?

Cleo is actually a very laid back type of dog....I would like to believe that she sleeps all day when we're gone.   Sometimes i'll come home and I won't even see her; she'll be in the bedroom fast asleep.

Sure wish I had a web cam in this house. It's only a guess but I think Jack and Taz sleep while we're gone. No separation anxiety at all  - they are pretty good about entertaining themselves. Sometimes I'll leave the tv on for them but I bet they don't even watch it - lol

Anya runs to the front window and barks and screams whenever I go through the door between the kitchen and the garage.  The garage is like another room in my house.  My freezer, washer, dryer, canned goods storage, cleaning products are all out there, as well as the trash can and recycling bin.  I go through that door multiple times a day.

However, when I used to work, she would calmly go into her little bed when I picked up my keys and purse and went to the car.  And she seems to accept my leaving to pick up my grandson after school Mondays and Wednesdays.

Maybe I should pick up my keys and purse when I go get a can of tomatoes.  LOL

Roo Ben, my long-term foster pug, gets into things when I'm gone.  His belongings were in a tote bag on the raised hearth, and he never bothered with it until I went out.  He pulled it down and ate his medical records.  I have also posted pictures of the contents of the doggie toy box strewn all over the living room.  Roo Ben is nine years old and has mobility problems, but he can still act like a naughty puppy!

 Dog shaming. Roo Ben.

Oh my Gaye! You've got some action there. I've never had a problem with Jack and Taz.

I'm lucky that Dante doesn't have separation anxiety! Therefore I don't need to get a pal for him which makes me happy. I really like having just one dog. It's been a long time and it's just nice especially on the wallet!
