Cleo is "injured".....

I think she was playing a bit too hard at the Dog Park yesterday...she came home limping.  Of course, after lying down for a while it only seemed worse....but I think it's only a sprain.  She'll be kept quiet for the next few days....no walks even....and Thursday the Dog Park is closed.  I told DH that she has to be 100% before he can even think of taking her there....we can't afford to start paying for surgery if she really injures herself.  Of course, I know she's in pain and I just feel so bad for her....

Oh Laura - I'm so sorry to hear this. What about giving her a pain reliever, is that allowed? Hoping Cleo feels better. Poor baby ;-)

I really have nothing....except Advil....and I don't know if that's good for her.  Hopefully she'll get better with rest.....DH is too busy to walk her today and I won't walk her tomorrow....she'll rest up this week...but I'm sure she'll be all "pepped up" by the weekend....LOL....

Oh Laura, hoping Cleo is better real soon... she might have stepped in a hole or something...have you checked her foot pad to see if anything like a burr or something is lodged in there or maybe there's a scratch or cut... I'm just looking for an easy fix of course. (()) to Cleo and you. Keep us posted....

DH just e:mailed me the same question...if she has something in her paw.  I really didn't look.  This morning i massaged her leg and she was OK with that...I'll do it again when I home later on...and then again this evening.  I also check the underside of her paw...if we're lucky maybe a piece of mulch or twig is stuck in there.  But it really looks like a bad sprain to me....she limps really badly when she first gets up and then once she's moving it looks as if she can put her paw down more easily.

Ooops sorry I didn't see this post or I wouldn't have asked you what happened in your asprin post. How is she doing today? Maybe a bit of T-giving dinner tomorrow will help her feel better ;)
