So I took Emmy in for her annual exam and I also took Buzz in for a blood test to make sure he's not having any problems on the arthritis meds he is on.

Sounds like a good doctor's visit. I can't imagine you handling both Buzz and Emmy. I thought I had a hard time with Taz barking and Jack with his nervousnous.

Yep - I'm just not going to bother Emmy with her weight. She should enjoy her golden years! And as I said, I really don't feed her any more than I ever did in the past. I think Cleo is being a "Lab". I swear them and Beagles live to eat! LOL!

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a little lap dog! LOL!

Oh, it's nice! Although Jack and Taz hardly sit on my lap anymore. Jack is more like a sack of potatoes and Taz likes to crawl up on me to smell what I've been eating LOL!!

congratulations on Emmy's and Buzz's good health. A yeast infection,,, wow, didn't know they could get that especially at Emmy's age. interesting... looking at Emmy & Buzz I would have guessed that Buzz weighed less than Emmy (greyhounds look very thin to me,,, but guess it's all muscle right) Donna, I have never seen the furbabes standing next to each other, is buzz taller than Emmy?

Laura, that's a cute story. Coffee lives to eat also. I think retrieving or hunting dogs have a stronger sense of smell than other breeds so that they can track and retrieve or whatever,, so they pick up scents quicker and stronger.... (just my own idea). I have to be so careful when out walking Coffee as she is turns into Hoover Dog , she loves old gum wads that people throw on the sidewalk.. ugh.

Greyhounds do look deceptively thin and therefore looking like the weigh less but they are solid muscle and weigh a lot! Buzz weighs in at 74 pounds which is normal for him since he's got a more solid build that most Greyhounds and he's very leggy and tall. He's quite a bit taller than Emmy. I don't have any pics of them side by side to show their differences. Emmy comes up to my knee - she's not the tall (in my opinion) but she's solid - LOL!

Pugs live to eat too. Anya is always eating things off the ground, the garage floor, the kitchen floor and the litter box.

I don't see many greyhounds over here... what I do see is a breed that looks like a greyhound but is tiny,, called a "whippet".
