Sliding throw rugs

I believe I have tried every "trick" there is to keep my throw rugs from sliding on my hard wood floors yet they still slide. Surely there has to be something that really works to keep rugs in place. Does anyone have any ideas to share?

My local paint store has this two sided tape that works really good for me. I don't have a lot of traffic on my rugs though so if you have children I'm not sure how well it will hold up.

I use a tape-on product called Hold It for Rugs, I found it at Home Depot. Its a thin foam with adhesive backing (tape side to the rug) and the foam doesn't affect the flooring (I was concerned about tape or tape residue on the floor finish). It works pretty well...when the foam starts getting old its not as "grippy" as when its new, and the tape comes off in the wash and has to be reapplied, so I end up replacing it periodically.

The two-sided tape should do the job : ) I've done it myself.
