what are your thoughts.shaving leaves a rash and grows back too quickly, creams are very messy and time consuming, used nads wax once, didnt work, too hard even after putting it in mircrowave, too few cotton wipes with it.

now considering epilators,all views welcome!

I have no experience with the new style of epilator, so can't really help much. I go to a salon and get waxed every 4 weeks or so. I used the Epilady when it first came out and couldn't tolerate the pain level, it's now collecting dust in a drawer somewhere.

There are several people on the board who use an epilator all the time, and are very happy with them.

I've had good experience with the Emjoi epilator, and think its a viable option, depending on the amount and texture of your hair. It isn't a 100% solution, but like waxing, the hair it gets is gone for weeks. It is difficult to get 100% of the hair, though, so I usually epilate and then follow up with a razor to catch the strays.

my hair would be dark enough, its fairly coarse also as ive been using a razor for a long time.

would it be better to shave and then a day or two later when hair is growing back to use the epilator-it mightnt hurt as much?

If you shave first and then use the epilator in a few days there will be less hair to get, which will make it easier. Thats probably a good way to ease yourself into using the epilator. You might have to use it once a week or so for teh first month or two, but you'll eventually only need it once a month or less.
