Razor Bumps just won't go away!

I know I posted about this already, a few months ago but its just really bothering me! I even bought one of those Poofs the other day at CVS and used it on my legs when I wasn't shaving, one of the nights, I checked the next day and the razor bumps didn't get any better. They seemed to get worse in fact, especially on my legs. I don't understand how some girls can have such perfect shaved legs when mine are crap! What is the secret to getting them to look like that? I did try that Aveeno Shave Gell but it was hard to tell if it helped much. Any help on this problem would be appreciated. I thought exfoliation was supposed to help like everyone said it would but I just haven't seen any results that were positive.

I'm surprised the exfoliating didn't help, maybe it needs more time? Something else you might try is a shaving cream / gel called "No Bumps". I found it at Walgreens, and it seems to work pretty well.

DO YOUR BUMPS EVER GET SORE? IF SO, YOU SHOULD GO TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR. YOU MIGHT HAVE A STAPH INFECTION. IF THAT'S WHAT YOU HAVE, THEY WILL GIVE YOU SOME MEDS FOR IT, AND IT SHOULD CLEAR RIGHT UP.

I had a friend a few years back who had the same problem. She changed razor brands. I believe it was the Venus razor she switched to. Also, try a soothing Chamomile lotion after shaving. Avioding lotions with alcohol should also help. If it continues, you should see a dermatologist. Your skin could be extra sensitive to bacteria from the razor.

Unfortunately if you have tried all these thing and they haven’t helped. You might have the same problem as my sister. Have you notice they are getting worse with age? Maybe you have always had them, but just not so bad. Well as it turns out it might be hereditary. And they will never go away. The only thing that has help my sister is to use a new shaver ever time she shaves and to shave every other day. And use baby oil on her legs after and not lotion or creams which irritate it and just make is worst.

Yeah my bumps get sore as I'm shaving the thighs of my legs. Does that count? They are so sensitive and I tried the Sensitive Shave Gel from Gillette but it hasn't helped, makes me kind of frustrated too. I see a Family Doctor on Tuesday, would he be able to prescribe whatever you said?

I already use the Venus Razor so I don't think that will help the problem, sorry! I thought about switching back to the Gillette Sensor Excel for Women but I haven't done it yet. I change the blade after 5 times of using it. Is that often enough? I shave every 3 days too. Hope this info helps you out.

Maybe you should try changing your blade more, like every three times? That's about how often I change mine, and it seems to make a difference in how close a shave I get.

Yeah I could do that but its the cost of those darn cartridges that stops me from doing that! Its like $6.99 on sale for them and I try to get them on Sale at either CVS or Walgreens, otherwise its way more! I wanted to ask you since you know a lot about shaving, does it matter what kind of body wash you use when exfoliating? I use this Caress bodywash and its scented so I was wondering if that could be part of the problem or not? Do you use the Venus Razor too, cl-ladyinpublic? Just wondered since you change your blade after 3 times. That could be the problem for me though and I've thought about shaving sooner like every 2 days but don't know if I should do that tonight or not? I guess I'll wait to see what you have to say first.

The only thing that has ever helped me besides acceptance is electrolysis. Lucky for me I've cut a good deal, but it's still expensive and time consuming. It does work though.
