Any updates at all?

I am growing so weary and tired of the site.  I used to love iVillage, and would look forward to posting, now I actually dread having to go post.  I won't even go into a list of what doesn't work, since everything has been listed before.  I don't see any fixes at all, in fact, I am finding more problems. Now the board description and cl names are no longer on my board.  Not that it matters any more, since to quote a friend, it has become a "cricket chirping ghost town."

Are there any updates at all?  I don't even care if I am told the boards are not being worked on at this time, I just want to know what is going on.  There are a lot of people that give their time volunteering for this site.  It is just not right to completely ignore their posts, questions, and concerns.  If I worked for an employer that treated it's employees like this, I would have quit a long time ago.  I have only stuck it out this long because of my love for the people on the boards.

That is the only reason ANYONE is sticking around - because we love the people we have met here. Certainly not because of the great features and options the boards provide. We are still here in SPITE of the horrendous technological failures, because we love the people.

I know that CM Evelyn has resigned. I felt bad- like we chased her away with all our complaining, but I am guessing the lack of action or information from the company were even more frustrating than the whining community members.  Any other mods resign yet?  I am amazed there is anyone still working as a community moderator anymore - guess iVillage should be grateful for the lousy economy!

I second (or is it third) everything that you posted.  I am truly amazed that heads haven't rolled over this.  Perhaps the CEO and higher ups don't know about the mess that the boards have become.  All I know is that whomever said that this switch over would be seamless and that the in house tech team could handle it should have been fired ages ago, and next on the chopping block should be the lousy tech tem who obviously don't have a clue as to what they are doing.  (I do some website/network work for my job, so I do have a clue what's involved.)

This was written 2 days ago and no one even comments on the lack of an update?  Sad.   Sadder yet, my faith has waned and I don't think anyone has any interest in telling us anything.   At this point I feel like the iVillage decision makers are starving us out in hopes we will just go away.   Anyone else feel that way?   We sure aren't high on the priority list.

Cara, CMBren left last week, though her email to the CLs didn't give a reason for leaving. It definitely seemed to be a tough job in the last two years.

Tracy, I definitely feel we aren't a priority. Perhaps with social media becoming the in-thing, message boards are being phased out in many places online, or left to die with no concern for those who still want them to stick around. Unfortunately, though, it isn't just the boards that are suffering at iVillage - many of the entertainment articles and slideshows I see linked are either old or just boring fluff pieces no one comments on (or can't comment on, as I remember the "chimes" were quite messed up at one point). Seems like NBC is missing an opportunity to breathe life into iVillage...

Yes, I feel like they are just hoping we will all disappear. Sadly, most of us have. No one seems to care anymore.

9 days ago and no CM has bothered to post anything.  Very sad, disappointing and rude all at the same time.  I feel like I'm being treated like a child.  Flat out ridiculous.
