Can vitamins fully replace eating?

My dad takes vitamins all day long and doesn't really eat that much. He's in his 70's but young looking. Has lost weight but

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Personally I don't think it's a good idea and I'd definitely talk to his doctor if you can.
