Changing settings on Firefox?

I am a CL on The Quick and Easy Cookbook.  I have so many frustrations with this new server that it's hard to know where to start.   I have an updated sig.   It shows when I post using IE.   However, half the time when I am on IE it won't let me post.   So I use Firefox.   But Firefox won't let me change a sig or any setting.   It also won't show me more than the latest 10 threads in each folder.

Here is what I see when I log on using Firefox.   Where are the preference links for me to change a sig?

And then there is this issue.   When we click on "See All Threads in This Board" we get this:

Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Hi Tracy -

Is your browser window full screen? It looks like you're on the mobile version which happens when the screen is small (which is also why you're not able to access the settings and don't see the board page view).

The browser window needs to go wider. Let me know what your screen resolution is as well as your screen size and I'll see if I can figure something out for you if your browser is at it's max width.

Yes, my browser is full screen.   On the mobile version?   Nope, that's my home desktop.

I have a 19" monitor at home.

My work monitor is also a 19".   I have Chrome at work.   Same issue.

Move it wider?   There is nothing there.   It's as wide as it will go.  My scrolling bar is on the far right.

Looks like resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels.

Hi Tracy,

I know you're on your desktop, but you're on the mobile version of the site. When your screen size is small (doesn't matter if it's a mobile device or your desktop/laptop monitor) you get bumped over to the mobile version, which is a scaled down version of the full site.

Is that the largest your resolution goes? Do you have an option for a larger width (larger than 1024)?

I tried the next size up.   I got a message on the screen telling me all that would be effected and did I really want to do that.   Uh, no, I want my settings where I like them and I want iVillage to work.   I said yes and it changed.   Now I can't see anything in the upper left corner (so no list of favorites/bookmarks for Chrome) and I can only see the hour on the clock.   And oh yeah, no list of Preferences showing either.   Back to the old setting so I can actually see things on my screen.

Hi Tracy,

I'm sorry you're frustrated by the suggestions and questions. We're all trying to help the best we can. With that said, I do have one other suggestion, if we're talking about Firefox, and you want to try, of course. First step, make sure in view > zoom text only, that zoom text only is UNchecked. Then view > zoom out once. That should make the screen smaller, but move you out of mobile version.

Unfortunately that's the only other suggestion I have at the moment.

Thanks,

Erin

Where is View?

The view menu is in the menu bar at the top of the browser screen. The latest version of Firefox hides it (I don't know why), but you can access it by using alt+V. If you want the menu back permanently, you can turn it back on in view>toolbars>menu bar.

How about Chrome?   I have Firefox at home and Chrome at work (which is where I am now and the screen shot is from).
