How do I delete or edit my post

I need to delete my recent post but I read in other posts that this is not possible. I don't understand why .

It appeared the only thing I could do was appeal the latest as inappropriate......altho I'm sure it didn't look inappropriate to them.

While we do not permit members to delete their own posts—only posts that violate our Terms of Service are removable—you can definitely edit posts.
If you ever have an issue regarding another member's post, you can choose to flag it for the morderator to take a look at. Again, only posts that violate our TOS are removable, but it doesn't hurt to have a moderator take a look.

It is absolutely ridiculous that one cannot edit or delete older posts. It is almost a violation. Did you get it taken care of? Some individual is misconstruing one of my replies to a post.
Hi!
If the post is not yours, you can click on the 'flag as inappropriate' link which is at the bottom of each message. A moderator will take a look at it to see if it's following our Terms of Service.

I'm sorry you'd like to delete your account. If you contact customer support they can help you. This will not, however, delete your posts that are on the boards.
If you want to edit your posts to remove the content, you can click on each individual post then on the options link and choose "edit message."
