Hurricane Sandy & Updates

Hi, everyone.

I hope all of our East coast friends are safe and sound today! Here in NYC there is no public transportation, and the first rains of the storm have arrived. We're all working from home until further notice -- and for as long as any of us have power. I'll get in touch with the tech team today, to find out who's able to work, and what they're able to work on. I'm not sure where everyone on our team lives, but some parts of NYC have been evacuated. I just missed being in the evacuation zone, myself! Eek.

Needless to say, the hurricane will definitely impact our progress this week. As of last week, their #1 priority was Replies, and then the inability to Edit Preferences. I'll post updates here and in a new thread, as I have them.

Yours in batteries (& 3 dozen rolls of toilet paper because my husband went a little "hurricrazy" at the supermarket),

Jess Laughing

...keep going!

Oh my goodness. You have every right to vent- I just can't imagine!  I hope they are able to get the heat/water/electric up and running again soon so that you can go home.  Keeping you all in our thoughts!

I just wanted let all you lovely ladies in New York know that we are still praying for you down here in New Orleans and we are sending our donations daily to you all.   I know how hard it was for us after Katrina but we were only out of power for a week.  We are outraged way down here that you don't have power back.  I know some of those whole house generators, if they aren't hooked up right can short out the system when the power comes back on and plung everyone back into darkness.  I pray that isn't happening to you all.  I can't even imagine dealing with the cold temps you have been getting.

Ladies it will come to an end.  I know it doesn't seem like it but it will.  Please take care.

Karen, I saw on the news where those of you from New Orleans were donating to the east coast victims. I had to  agree with the news announcer that if anyone knows what they are going through-it's you.

I think it is so thoughtful of you all!
