ID Thief Blocked Ivillage Newsletters
Sun, 04-20-2014 - 5:47pm

Could someone please help me out? A hacker broke into my Yahoo account and illegally blocked all of my Ivillage Newsletters, even the subscription greeting ones I usually get when I try to renew them. I believe he knows my bank password as well because after a few weeks of not using it and a cash deposit from a relative, I found it was empty.

I don't know why I'm not receiving them anymore, the newsletters even stopped coming to my Hotmail inbox. I've got the Ivillage email addresses listed in my Yahoo Contacts list and they haven't been deleted, can one of the staff tell me what to do in order to restore these messages?

Hi Nalia,

I am sorry to hear you had an account hacked. I do hope you have changed all the passwords to the accounts you are worried about. You also might want to let the bank know your account may be compromised. They will be able to offer you some advice on what to do to keep your money safe.

Have you tried going to the iVillage newsletters you want and resubscribe to them?

Hi Nalia -

If you go here: you can subscribe/unsubscribe to newsletters. If you're still having an issue, please email me at from the email account the newsletters should be going to and I'll look into it for you.

I've tried changing passwords in the past but it hasn't done anything, this guy just keeps figuring them out. Also I think I may have owed the bank some money in the form of an overdraft and they took it. Things appear to be fine otherwise.

I've had a slight problem with what appears to be a UTI and brain fog. Nobody has responded to the posts I've made on the gynecology boards in months as well. I tried everything to get it solved, I even posted a question on Yahoo Answers and paged a doctor at one of the local clinics. I was in some pretty bad pain for three days and nobody did anything to help me.

Fortunately the issue appears to have resolved on its own. Here is the link to the Yahoo Answers posts in case you'd like to leave a comment on either Ivillage or Yahoo.
