Hi Gaye,

We know there are problems but the communities are very important and steps are being taken to get them where they need to be.

Please feel free to PM or e-mail me. Karla allhealthcm@mail.ivillage.com

Let's see...   We have been in the technology toilet for 7 months.   We have been told story after contradictory story about why the boards aren't working.   And now all the leaders are all leaving.   Anyone else feel like they are watching the final scene of Animal House?   You know the one; the town is being destroyed and there is Kevin Bacon, very inanely saying, "Remain calm.   All is well."

Hi Tracy,

To the best of my knowledge, our problems are caused by the extensive amount of data in the database. The former tech team had decided to run a deletion process to  remove some of the data but ran into snags. Hopefully, the restructuring and new tech team will enable us to get back to the communities we have all known and grown to love. :-)

With all of iVillage's problems, and the popularity of Facebook and Twitter, most of your "community" has left.

Hi Gaye,

I know that we're dealing with issues that make the boards trying for some, but there are a good deal of people who can post and are doing so.

It may be hard at times to be positive, but in doing so, we can—and will!—rebuild our communities.

I'm always available if you'd like some ideas or thoughts or need some help with a tech issue. Sometimes I may have a work around that you may benefit from. You can email me at techtalk@mail.ivillage.com if you'd like.

Thanks!

Fear not - we try to save our truly bitter expressions of frustration and hopelessness for this board. And private email. While we often explain our absences from our home board as being due to login issues, the vitriol is just for the iVillage powers-that-be.
