May we have an update, please?

Its been 3 weeks since the last update. The holidays are over, everybody should be settled in back at work, and hopefully there is some progress to report. Please let us know what is going on, what are the priorities for this week, and if there are any estimates for when specific bugs will be resolved.

If there are any problems that have been fixed/solved/are now non-issues, how about a list of those? I think that we would really appreciate hearing some good news about now; and defined progress would be good news IMO.

I want to assure you, no one's being ignored -- no updates pretty much means there's nothing concrete to share yet. I've passed your post along to Jess though so if she's got something, she can let you know. I appreciate the patience and I know it's harder as time goes on, so thank you for sticking around.

I would like a status from the head of Ivillage development daily...whatever is being reported to the president of whatever conglomerate owns Ivillage should be reported to the members. Do you seriously mean that someone is reporting 'we have no clue and no idea when we will get one on anything'? This is so sad...almost 8 percent unemployment...perhaps you need to hire someone who can fix this...or add to the unemployment numbers because any money you are paying to fix this is wasted...

So now its 4 weeks+, and over a week since I asked for an update. Still no update.

While I appreciate that CMs Donna and Karla acknowledged the request/comments, that's not the same as an actual update. And unfortunately "no updates pretty much means there's nothing concrete to share yet" doesn't satisfy us anymore.

To make an analogy, its like if your loved one was in the hospital with an undiagnosed ailment. Everyday you try to visit. Sometimes they don't let you into the lobby, sometimes you get to the floor but not your loved one's room, sometimes you get to the bedside---but there's no pattern. You're  hoping to see an improvement or at least hear that the doctors are working towards discovering what's wrong and how to cure it. But the doctor is never around and doesn't return your calls. The nurses just shrug, apologize, and say that surely the doctors will figure it out soon so please be patient. They can't even tell you when the doctor will be on the floor. Would anybody find that acceptable?

At least with a loved one we have incentive to keep trying to see them. With message boards there's much less reason to keep trying, especially when there are other sites that can serve the same function and actually DO work all of the time. I'm getting very tired of dealing with the problems, tired of my boardies complaining that they have problems posting, tired of not getting a response from TPTB. 

I notice that the majority of posts on this board are from long-time members, many of them CLs. We have stuck with iVillage through a number of changes over the years and I think we deserve the courtesy of regular communication, from somebody (CDJess?) who has access to actual information. I mean no disrespect to the CMs who have the thankless task of responding to the complaints but at this point I want to hear from somebody higher, and I want to hear on a regular basis. As I said before, it doesn't have to be good news. But we deserve a response, from the people at the top.
