Hi, everyone.

I've submitted a list of fixes for the Mobile version of the boards:

  • Can't view replies
  • Can't reply
  • Automatic log-in shouldn't be happening 


The 2 reply-related issues will be fixed at the same time that we fix the identical problems with the regular site.

The automatic log-in is it's own issue, and has it's own bug ticket. Once I get an ETA on the fix, I'll let you know in this thread. I've stressed that it's a security issue for us, too. Let's use this thread to talk about any other mobile issues that may arise, also.

I definitely noticed that the ads were working...even though little else is...

I just keep thinking about the fact that the switch is because Lithium wouldn't do anything and everything that was wanted...if we are going to be subject to constant 'improvements' like this one, I can hardly wait.  I cannot believe that this was even minimally tested...what a travesty for a site that is totally dependent on members for content interesting enough to sell ads and attract people to view them....there is no excuse for this mess...none...

Hi, everyone.

I know it's frustrating, but right now the #1 priority is fixing the Error pages, and after that they'll work on the Replies issue (which affects both the site and mobile). The inability to get to many pages across the site is affecting more members right now, so that's #1. I wish I had an ETA on the Replies issue to give you! I know this much though: everyone's working late tonight on the Error pages...

I'll let you know something as soon as I hear an update. Thanks for all your patience!

Patience??  I don't think I have any of that right now. 

You're forgetting- most of us went through this last year and it's pretty fresh on our minds that things took forever to get fixed.  It's frustrating that we were told this was all tested and worked, and it very obviously doesn't.

The mobile version is not working - it just opens up like a regular web page, which isn't working real well either. When I went to the site on my phone, it did not ask me if I wanted the mobile version or the full web site. Just letting you know. I realize this is not a priority.

This is a mess. I have tried to be patient, but I am having to second (or third) the voices that doubt this was tested. If it was tested, I would love to know on what browser/phone/service.

Mobile fixes really need to be high priority.  Not only because a lot of people are on their phones, but because a lot of things that get posted on these pages are not things we want in full family view on our computers (i.e. relationship problems, etc....)

So far on my mobile (Droid) I can open original messages, but not reply and I can't post unless I am typing in a summary (which doesn't even show up anywhere.)

Hope this is fixed soon.  All I know is I am glad I don't work in IT for ivillage :-)

Additional on mobiles...

I see NO option for logging in on my iPad (safari or Terra)... nor can I find a place to change from mobile setting to board format like there used to be.

I see only the OP, even though it tells me there are multiple posts in the thread.

If I click on see all threads in this board, I get a board title and that is ALL! 

If I click on menu, it give sme a list of the different iVillage channels and that is all.

I've stopped visiting iVillage on my iPad altoghter as it simply is useless in it's current state.

I know that a lot of CLs use iPad snd phones to access the sites and I suspect you are losing more than just board memebrs (my board is down to one poster, thank-you-very-much as the others can't see replies) --- you'll lose CLs as I for sure am getting VERY VERY frustrated here.

I am having the same problems as Thatyank with the Android phone and the iPad. Absolutely useless to even go to the site. The Android mobile verions isn't working at all. On the iPad, I don't use the mobile version and it opens up and all that is visible is the original post.
