I got a private message notification and when I opened the PM it went straight to the error page. .

When I got a PM this morning, I only noticed it in the right hand column, no email notice. When I replied to the PM - I got a message both that it could not be sent and that it had been sent. Which one do I believe?

Hi!

I saw the same thing, but it looks as though it was sent (I see it in the sent folder, do you see yours?). I've reported it.

I know notifications were reported. I'll make sure PM notifications is on the list.

Yes, it was in my Sent folder - I didn't even think to check there!

I am happy to be patient, I certainly understand the work invovled in making such a switchover.

I only worry about losing the last few regulars to our board...

Hi! I goofed on the PM notifications... there is an option for email notifications, do you have it checked and you're not getting them or do you not have the option checked?

It should be in edit my preferences > private messenger > receive email notification for incoming private messages

That is probably the problem - it is not checked in my account - except I can't check it because my email address has already been taken! LOL

Erin, just as an FYI -

Sometimes when I have been sending a PM, it gives me the two notifications as well, but the first one says something about the "email was not sent", not PM.  And then under that, it does say that the PM was sent.

It does not happen with every PM, and I have not been paying enough attention to when it does happen to be able to tell you how it is different (lol) - but it does come up for me sometimes.

I don't know if it has anything to do with someone's account or if it's related to those of us who are getting the "email is taken" message or what - but just wanted to let you know.

The PMs DO go through - I want to make that clear.  :)  I just don't know what the "email didn't go through" part means.

Hi Kim!!

I noticed that to. It seems to be hit or miss. Would you mind sending me the names of the members you were trying to PM so I can let tech know? I have a couple but if they have a handful that may help better. You can email them to me or PM them to me (the irony is not lost, lol!).
