Is it just me or is there still an issue with the signatures? I cannot get in to update mine. I can get to my preferences screen under Edit Profile, but then the page just gets stuck and asks me if I want to recover it....I always have to close out and reopen a new screen. I cannot edit my signature at all?

If there is a mod that is able to edit it for me I would just like to add this ticket to the bottom:

Thanks,
Christina

Hi Kim,

That's great!

I've inquired about the signatures still showing and it is part of a larger issue with settings not sticking. Unfortunatley it means you'll have to click it per thread for now. (Feel free to email me about this if you have any questions/concerns.)

Thanks for your patience, Kim. Have an awesome weekend!

It worked, it worked!  I didn't get the terrible "your email is taken" message!

And I can see more than five or whatever posts per page.  But I made sure the "show signatures" button was not clicked - and...I still see signatures.  I can turn them off in the thread, but I can't seem to figure out how to keep them turned off.

But today, I am celebrating small victories!

:)

Hi Kim,

I'm pretty sure I read that someone else had the same problem. I don't know if there's a way to get around it, but I will report it. Did you empty your cache, restart your browser, etc.?

Still not working.

I changed my email before I left work to come home, and 35ish minutes later, it didn't work.  It still tells me my email is taken - and lists the original email address (even though on the profile page it says I changed my email successfully).

But since I am a bright-side girl - it's good to be first, yay!

;)

Hi Kim -

It definitely should work. Did you give it a few moments to update across the site? You're the first person it hasn't worked for—congrats? ;)

Let me know if it continues not to work.

No luck trying that for me, Erin.

I was able to change my email address, but then when I went to change my preferences, it still gave me the "that email address is taken" and showed the email address I've always used.

:(

I was all excited for a second there - all I really want to do is get rid of signatures on posts and set it so that I can see more than 5 or 10 (whatever the default is) posts per page.

(Yes, I am laughing at myself - of course that is not all I really want - but those are the two things that are irritating me the most right now and that I have had problems with the longest, so they made the top of my list.  LOL)

Hi -

I'm not sure I'm following your Google post—was that to me or someone else?

As for cut and paste, can you explain what's happening when you're trying to do that? I'm not having any issue with that. Is it happening in a specific spot?

Thanks,

Erin

Another problem is the inability to cut and paste.  I use Firefox

Google has privacy and security issues.  For many in some of the sections the privacy is important as there are data miners who capture what is posted on forums and re-post elsewhere.   That is why any discription of yourself, family,or any identifying items need to be left off.
