So Many Frustrations

I am over here to check on recent updates. I CL the Quick and Easy Cookbook. We were easily a 100+ post a day board before this change. Now I am lucky to have one post a day on there. I post daily and have been talking to myself.

Chrome is unusable. There is no place to log in. You can open a thread, but only see the first post in each thread. No way to respond to anything.

Firefox is identical to Chrome.

When using IE, the posts are in no chronological order. There is no way to see what you have already read. You can write posts, post, and it usually goes to "site not available" so you lost your post. I have taken to writing in Word and copying it into the message. That's a lot of work. But I lose so many posts that it saves me frustration in the long run.

My biggest frustration is that my regulars have pretty much given up. They were all trying in the beginning. I have trickled to an audience of one. The email communication all pretty much says, "tell me when it's fixed- my time is too precious to keep doing what we're doing over there."

Hi Tracy, you're not alone with your frustrations and I too am a CL.  I am having identical browser issues and am trying to be patient until they fix the site for firefox since that is my preferred browser.  I was starting to think I was the only one since I've seen so many posts mention accessing the site with firefox.  I think a big wrench in the problem is Hurricane Sandy because I believe the headquarters/servers were right in its path, so that may cause some additional delays and/or limited communication.  I'm not sure what will come next, but I hope its good.

Hi! You are correct -- the office was without power all week and I'm not even sure it's open today. This has definitely caused some problems in making repairs, but when we're dealing with co-workers who have no power/net even at home, or worse yet, have home damage or lost their home entirely, it's much worse than is apparent.

I know Jess is trying to get to the office today -- with transportation limited in/out of the city, I'm not sure yet if she'll be successful, or what shape the building is in, but I know she'll update whenever possible.

In the meantime, your patience is really appreciated. (I was out last week -- unrelated to the storm, as our area was only mildly hit, but my son's service dog had major surgery and is now recuperating here at home, though he's immobile for the most part. I'm back though, playing doctor but fully here at least!) I know the timing of the launch with the storm is a double-whammy but couldn't have been planned so they're all doing their best.

Thanks..

Donna
