"The scope is staggering. Some 75 million Americans are under threat of severe weather on Tuesday.

People from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast, and from the Midwest to the East Coast, are advised to keep their eyes to the sky and their ears to the radio. That's a third of the country.

The greatest risk will again be in the Deep South, with Mississippi and Alabama in the bull's-eye for the worst of the storms.

The first two days of this powerful spring storm system, which is expected to rage into Wednesday, claimed 29 lives in six states."

Are you there? Do you have family there? I can't even fathom going through any of this. Positive thoughts to everyone involved.

It can be very scary! I am in the area affected as is most every person I am related to or know. My brother and his family live in one the areas under the highest risk for today. Most people (that I know) do have a contingency plan just in case things turn dangerous but otherwise there is not much we can do but sit and wait it out and hope for the best.

This is so crazy. I don't live in the areas under the gun today but I do have family down south who are. They are pretty used to this kind of thing so they aren't too concerned. I don't know that I would be able to concentrate on anything knowing that a tornado could be lurking on the horizon.
