In regard to people who have lost health insurance because of Obama Care, President Clinton has stated “So I personally believe, even if it takes a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got.”

My understanding is that legislation has been or is being introduced in the Senate by Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and that legislation has been or is being introduced in the House by Republicans to rectify the problem addressed by President Clinton.  I agree with doing that and I hope some form of this legislation is passed and signed by the President soon.

You can still receive health care from community health centers if your inisurance has been cancelled and you are not eligible uunder the new health care law.  Go to this link and find a health care certain near you http://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/Search_HCC.aspx

Recall it was dweedledee and dweedledum. In that election. I do not think the GOP cares to win the White house.

Chestnut, thank you for your comment - I feel it is important to get both sides of an issue.

I am certainly not a victim of OCARE. I get insurance through my employer, but I am seriously thinking of starting a business. I am old (late 50s) and I have pre-existing conditions.

I've shopped the exchanges and I can get an affordable policy. It offers me opportunity that I've never had before. It is far from perfect, but innovation can be greatly increased when we don't have to worry about health insurance being tied to large employers.

Congratulations to all of the uninformed idiots who voted for Obama... they get what they deserve... everyone else is a victim of their stupidity.  Thanks.

It was a joke designed to placate the grossly uninformed.  First, he doesn't have the Constitutional authority to do anything... second, you can't reinstate insurance policies that have already been cancelled.  Several insurance companies, as well as state authorities, have already come out trashing Obama's new lie and stated that the old policies won't be renewed.

I watched President Obama’s speech today, in regard to allowing canceled policies to be renewed for one year and I think it is a good start.
