Casey Anthony found not guilty of murdering daughter ...

ORLANDO, Fla. — After a trial that riveted the nation with its twists and turns, Casey Anthony was found not guilty on Tuesday of murdering her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Anthony held back tears as the verdict was read and then held her face and hugged her chief lawyer, Jose Baez.

The only counts Anthony was guilty of were for providing false information to investigators. Judge Belvin Perry said he would sentence her on those four counts on Thursday morning. Full story

Aside from how she acted during her DD's disappearance & after they found the body, from all that I've read & all that I heard while following this trial, I still believe she is guilty. She may not have intentionally killed her DD but IMHO the death was at least due to neglect. Too many things don't add up in her defence. Besides, why cover up an 'accidental drowing'? IF it was truly an accident, then there is no reason to.

She found a good lawyer who was able to muddy the picture & do a good job of planting distractions in the jurists minds. She should serve time for at least manslaughter or child abuse/neglect.

And what about her "Xanni the nanny" story? You do realize that some 'parents' have been known to give their children drugs like Xanax (hence the "Xanni (or Zanni) the nanny") to keep them asleep so that they can do whatever without having to get a babysitter?

And her father - he's a retired cop. I seriously doubt he's that stupid. The defence was trying very hard to make it seem like he was some awful abuser & was responsible for Caylee's death.

If (and I don't really believe it) the drowning story is true, don't you think she would have confessed to that LONG before going through a murder trial with a possible death sentence?

Sentenced to 4 yrs...with credit for time served & "good behavior" she could be out by the end of this month.

*** Because her defense was that she drowned and Casey and her father hid the body.
