Casey Anthony found not guilty of murdering daughter ...

ORLANDO, Fla. — After a trial that riveted the nation with its twists and turns, Casey Anthony was found not guilty on Tuesday of murdering her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Anthony held back tears as the verdict was read and then held her face and hugged her chief lawyer, Jose Baez.

The only counts Anthony was guilty of were for providing false information to investigators. Judge Belvin Perry said he would sentence her on those four counts on Thursday morning. Full story

My heart actually hurts when I think of that little girl. What the heck is wrong with this world? How could the jury have found her mother not guilty? So many people who would be wonderful parents aren't able to have children and then you have monsters like this woman who was given the beautiful gift of a child and she did this? Disgusting.

They should have never charged her with first degree murder without any physical evidence.

That's what the DA should have gone for, IMO.

I think it would be very difficult to convict somebody on first degree murder charges without any physical evidence. I'm not saying she is innocent because I don't feel that she is. But as a juror....they have to find her guilty or innocent of the charges brought against her. Bad behavior during her daughter's disappearance does not prove first degree murder.

If you ask me....it was a stupid, stupid DA for thinking they could pull this off. They should have gone for 2nd degree or aggravated manslaughter and then would have had a MUCH higher likelihood of a conviction.
