<<< I guess because I've been reading Sam's posts for so long, I knew she didn't mean it that way exactly. >>

I've been reading her posts as long. I guess you're a better mind reader than me?

You have no business saying you know or don't know how another poster "exactly meant" anything.

Having been through firestorms, and the Loma Prieta earthquake, plus working disaster response for flooding in the flat lands below us, I can say that when you are in the middle of it, you don't give a rats ass if the president/gevernor/congessman doesen't come. You are just as happy as a clam to see the 19 yo, National Guard boys drive up with water and food. You are overjoyed to see the power and gas company guys on the job. You are overjoyed to see Red Cross and FEMA. You are thrilled to see engineers coming door to door to eveluate the integrity of your homes and buildings (if there is one left.) You welcome the insurance adjusters.

She skirted around your statement and never did address it, nor my questions.. And neither did you.

It's much more that, than you "ruffled my feathers."

You know what, I have a right to my OP & you have a right to yours. And both of us can be right. So be it

I'm taking your refusal to defend your statement about the Joplin residents, or answer the questions, to mean you can't.

And often, two opposing opinions can't both be right. And this is one of those cases.

I'm not sure what you're so angry about.

I'm angry at her statement that she feels for the people of Joplin, but oh well, they chose to live there.

I don't know why you are still defending a woman who refuses to defend herself.

I've been on this board las long, or onger than her, I'm pretty sure. Around 7 or 8 years. Why are you jumping to her defense, against me? She's a grown woman; if she has something to say, let her do it herself.

Because your non-answers to my questions don't help me understand. Either she means people in Joplin got what they deserved by CHOOSING to live there, or she didn't.

Your constant defense is annoying, also.
