There are CMs for the boards, but it seems to be hit or miss on whether they respond to flagging of posts or not.

Brenda is the CM. Maybe junk in the Layton thread hasn't been pulled because it doesn't technically violate TOS. There are no links to solicit, etc. On the other hand, posts have been pulled under the guise of "board disruption"--a rather meaningless term whose definition is vague at best.

Who can say why there's so much nonsense in the Layton thread? Doesn't seem to have any purpose......

BTW, the other poster you mentioned by name does exist and sporadically posts his/her latest conspiracy theory.

I know we're in the process of changing CMs...I'll check in & let them know.

I know the poster has been around a long time, but I can't recall a single reply to anything any of us have ever posted to him/her. And that made me question.

Actually, he/she has replied on occasion ... just not very often.

Hi!

My apologies for the spam -- I was out for a few days (my dog was extremely sick and hospitalized quite a distance from our home) and there was some confusion as to the coverage. I'm helping with this board until we get a new moderator on board for our News area. I think the spam was removed this morning, but if not, I'll continue to check RAVs just in case.

If you need to reach me directly, my email address is policy@mail.ivillage.com. As soon as we have a new mod all ready to go, I'll go ahead and announce it here.

Thanks..

Donna

Thanks.

I hope your dog is ok now..... I know how tough something like that is.

The old posts were deleted, but they've started up again. So strange.

Thank you Donna! I was having internet access issues myself so hadn't been able to email anyone yet - nor did I have access to the team board. Hope your dog is doing better!! (fingers crossed!)

Thank you both for the well-wishes for the dog! She's doing much better now. Turns out she had a severe kidney infection (two weeks after dental surgery) and while there, they also found she might have Addison's Disease and a liver problem. She's on meds for the next few weeks, and will have to have a couple of re-tests to see if the two additional concerns are legit or were skewed results from the kidney infection. She's shaved in a few spots, but she follows me like a shadow and sleeps solidly through the night now...so I get to as well, ahhh. ;) She's the baby of the family (we have four kids but the youngest is in grade school) so it really threw us all for a loop.

I think we got the spam again -- it's likely a bot
