Just caught this breaking news...

The special prosecutor in the Trayvon Martin case will announce criminal charges against George Zimmerman Wednesday afternoon, a law enforcement official told NBC News.

The nature of the charges weren't immediately known, the official told NBC News Justice Department correspondent Pete Williams, speaking on condition of anonymity. But because Angela Corey, the special prosecutor appointed by Florida Gov. Rick Scott to re-examine the case, previously announced that she wouldn't take the case to a grand jury, first-degree murder is not an option.

He said he would surrender himself if charges were brought against him. It would seem to be the safest thing for him to do, given the circumstances. This whole thing is a tragedy for everyone involved and seems it could have been easily avoided.

Who is in self defense? A man with a gun and actively provocated a search, or a man without weapon on his way home?

In this case, a killer said he killed for self defense. That opened the door to bandit to rob people without any risk. If he failed, he could kill the victim then claim he is self defense. That is the point.

Did anyone catch the audio from the 911 call? That says it all.

Regardless of whether Martin did beat up GZ, GZ is morally responsible for the death.

"... the ridiculous SYG law that the NRA pushed"

With this 'law' on the books a tradgedy, such as this, was bound to happen.

I tend to place the blame more on the murderer than I do a law.

This law gives the "want to be enforcer" permission to excert their power. Ofcourse the murder is to blame but would he have done this without this law's protection?

In this case, the gun holder takes upper hand. Whatever happened, the other side was dead. A dead person could never defend for himself.

That left others have to believe what the gun holder says. It will encourage people to kill in argument becuase there are too many advantages for a killer in similar case.

But should a law help the weaker side for the justice?
