Such a sad story.

'Her mind was gone ... it was a mercy killing,' couple's daughter says

Obviously this man wanted to end his wife's suffering. He did what any loving husband would do in a situation like this. jail is for people who are a threat to society... I don't think he is!

I agree. If I were in her condition I would hope someone would end my suffering.

This made me think of how many times I've heard people in a Nursing Home say to a Nurse, family member or even a stranger.

We tried....but they put Dr. Kevorkian in jail for it.....remember? For some reason, in America...it is not okay to die. For some reason, most people do not see dying as a normal part of living.

I agree with that.

It will serve no purpose for this man to be jailed or put on trial.

>"A historical ruling will make Montana the third state alongside Washington and Oregon to allow terminally ill people the right to die with dignity. Doctors will now be able to prescribe the necessary medications to the terminally ill without fear of prosecution."<

Besides the states mentioned above several other states have considered it but it hasn't passed.

"He's not a serial killer.'

Exactly. He helped people at their request.
