Well, as you probably know by now, Gingrich won SC. What do you think-Will he eventually get the GOP nomination?

I'd be really surprised if he did because the GOP knows how rotten he is and does not want him to be president. I think they are going to be doing everything they can to see that Gingrich doesn't get the nomination.

Personally I hope not.

Surely the GOP's smart enough to explore NG's history & decide against nominating him.

In his victory speech he criticizes "Washington elites", yet, there is no greater "insider" than Gingrich himself.

He plays to the audience he's speaking. He has held so many positions I'm surprised people in SC didn't see through him.

Oh, I forgot to add that Gingrich isn't on the ballots in Virginia and Missouri.

I got the same impression. I flipped through various cable news channels this weekend and

But I wonder about Romney because he's "too moderate" for the general GOP crowd. Neither would be good leaders, IMHO...but then I'm a 'moderate liberal' so I wouldn't vote for either one of them anyway! LOL! ;)

I don't know why the GOP should be surprised by Gingrich's win in SC. Did they think Santorum would win?

I surely hope not! Like a PP said, he plays the audience, says what they want to hear...and the look in his eyes...just eats your soul. Although I do like how they opened the debate up, and he had every right to chew them out for asking such a question, it was a little out of line. Possibly the only time I cheered him on.

Santorum will drop, no doubt. The whole debate he acted like a kid on the play ground just trying to get the other two in trouble by taddling. I think he knew that he really didn't have much of a chance, so he used this debate as a way to shine light on Romney and Newt's issues.

I know who the GOP nominee SHOULD be, but according to myth, if I say his name, something bad will happen to me in 7 days.
